Quick! Get me to a Yoga class, STAT!

Dear me, dear me.  What has become of me?  I'm all a-twitter. Why'm I in such a mad rush?

I'm hampered by a lack of complete skills - new camera to learn - blogging formats - loads of that type thing.

Have you seen this magazine, or ones similar to it ( "Artful Blogging", http://www.stampington.com/)

It's gorgeously LUSH.  Vignettes to die for.  Pics of satiny slippers hanging, creamy ironware filled with sprigs o' newly budded branches in bloom, stax of older lineny rough-edge paper books tied with bits of sweet lace, scrumptious ethereally misted photos of flowers, raindrops in puddles, children's faces pearing through holes in bread.  Getting the idea?

Then, there's me -- fumbling, flubbing about, with fingers that seem positively WOODEN and won't cooperate with me as I try to remember stuff, such as, "WHERE is that button for softening the edges of my picture?  WHY can't I get a crisp macro shot of that leaf?  What the heck is SMART AUTO, is THAT why I can't soften the edges"????

Oh, Martha, Martha, you are anxious for many things.  Come, sit thee down here and have a part of the good stuff.  Be... a little... still ... quiet .... your soul....  huusssssshhhhhh....allow the peace to begin to flow.  Sooth yourself.  Concentrate on your breathing, says the yogi.  Feel yourself in a lush sylvan glade filled with frondy green foliage.  Water sloooowly drips drop by precious drop off leaves in the mist.  A bird warbles somewhere nearby.  As you go deeper within both this glen and your spirit, you begin to hear the insect song.  Imagining the itty bitty patter of the one lone ant attempting to hoist a leaf five times his size to his home.  Then wait, he's really too busy for your reveries, so you shift focus and imagine a Mother robin who can't keep her eyes open a second's quark longer, she's exhausted from feeding her young...drip, drip, drip -- finally the peaceful scene in  your mind's eye begins to soothe all cares right away, gone now, gone...

ah....that's
 more
like
 it.

I like being here and once more being creative.  But, WHAT'S THE RUSH?  Take a wee more time, read the camera manual slowly one morning over coffee.  Experiment with camera skills, blogging formats.  Give one's self a break when something doesn't turn out like you'd like. Mostly, enjoy the process, the learning itself.

I know how excitingly yummy phlogs (photo blogs as I call them) with lucious photography skills appeals to one's sences, indeed.  I melt and ooh and ah at them meself..

I just hope you forgive me if I'm not so polished, friend.  I will strive to be better.  I just yam what I yam at the momo!

Peace, my friend.  Enjoy you Day as you go about it!
