Maybe this year...

So, my long held fondest wish (for at least the past 5-6 yrs) has been to grow a successful garden.

I've researched so much.  Viewed hundreds of youtube gardening vids, read bunches of articles and books.

My biggest problem is the need for enriched soil.  Everything one does in a garden hinges on good soil or
you might as well not bother.

So regret selling my father's rear tine tiller.  WHAT was I thinking when I let that go???  Tillers are usually
expensive items.  I bought a new Mantis for what I now feel was an arm and a leg.  I bought it because I am
not able to handle a lot of heaving.  But even though they make it look lightweight and easily managable, that is
so not the case.  Especially with new soil that has to be broken up!

This year I think my OH will be helping as I have only gone on about this dream for so long I think he feels sorry for me.  My wish is to have enough veggies for us, neighbors, family AND a food pantry.  Yes, a tall order.  Perhaps not this year, but ONE year soon I hope this dream manifests.  I have plenty of available cleared land, so that is one issue I don't have to deal with. Just needing enriched soil, chicken or horse manure.  And a well would vastly help as well.

We'll see!  Wish us well!
