Two recent places I've seen that reference teaching herbs to children. Learningherbs.com has a wonderful series of books that feature different "herb fairies"...these are not bound books, however. It is too costly for them to be published, so you have to subscribe online.
I also caught an episode of the kid cartoon (but it's equally good for adults IMO) "Jane and the Dragon" and it featured an episode of a young man foraging the forest for herbs for the castle's dinner.
The only thing about the children's cartoon is I wonder if it also contained a caution not to eat and taste greens you don't know about. I wasn't able to watch the entire show.
Hopeful that many of our children will become knowledgeable and keep up the herbalism learning.
